Roland Wiederaenders is a self-taught umpire. He attended Jim Evans Clinics and Academy, but he says he was not a great student. However, his head is not so hard that he was untouched by baseball plays, situations, and experiences since then. He's just like you: Ready to listen, laugh, argue, admit mistakes, and commiserate! Feel free to email him at rolandwiederaenders@officating.com

Advice
Attend all the clinics and schools you can afford. I wish there had been more available in the early 80s when I was starting out. Learn to do it right, and you'll stay with it for life!
