A combination of wanderlust and some questionable choices have provided Garth with a variety of experiences: teacher, police officer, professional musician, marketing and advertising executive, and now, again, teacher. Two constants, however, have accompanied his journey: baseball umpiring and writing. One of the original contributors at Officiating.com, Garth has also written for a local newspaper and moonlights from time to time as a ghostwriter. He has worked high school, American Legion, college, and semi-pro baseball.
